OVER CUSTOM CLUBS

  • What are the benefits of a custom golf club?

By assembling your own golf club, you have more options. With standard clubs, for example, at best you have the choice of a shaft from a limited selection. A grip choice is not offered at all. When assembling your own golf club, you have the choice of, among other things: gender, hand, loft, shaft model, shaft length, grip model, grip layer, and you can add a special request or comment.

So why not wait a little longer for a golf club made entirely to your specifications?

    1. Improved performance: Your custom golf clubs are specially tailored to your specific needs and playing style, allowing you to perform better on the course.
    2. Comfort and confidence: By playing with golf clubs that perfectly match your physique, swing, and playing style, you will feel more comfortable and confident during the game.
    3. Durability: Because your custom golf clubs are made to measure, they are often of better quality and last longer than standard golf clubs.
    4. Personal appearance: Custom golf clubs are tailored to the golfer's personal preferences and style, giving them a unique look on the course.
    5. Better value: Although custom golf clubs are sometimes slightly more expensive than standard golf clubs, they offer better value for the golfer because they are specifically tailored to their needs and performance.
  • What is the bounce of a wedge?

Depending on whether you go full wedge and the course is more difficult, you choose a low 'bounce'. With a steeper swing, you can move more from the outside in and therefore bounce deeper into the grass, so it is wise to choose a bit more “bounce” in your clubs. Here too, if you frequently practice the full golf swing and the course is slightly more difficult, you should choose less “bounce”. The softer the golf course, the more bounce you can use. You can also often choose to have more bounce under your wedges in the short game around the green, unless your ball is slightly exposed, in which case the bounce can work against you. “Bounce” was originally invented to make it easier to hit the ball out of the bunker. As a result, the Sand Wedge in particular has a bit more bounce (approximately 11-16°). Other wedges (especially the GAP wedge and the LOB wedge) typically have a bounce of about 6-10°.

  • What is Logo Down?

Logo Down: then the logo on the front of the grip will point downwards.

Logo Up: then the logo on the front of the grip will point upwards.

If you do not make a choice, it will be 'Logo up'.

If you have 360° grips, such as the Tour Velvet 360, these grips are without a logo.

  • How do I choose the right shaft?

It is important to have the right flex for your swing to achieve maximum length and control. In the table below, you can see which flex suits you, depending on how far you hit (carry) or swing speed:

(The page provides a table with swing speed and flex for driver and irons.)

General tips for selecting the shaft: a longer swing requires a lighter/longer shaft, a straighter swing a heavier/shorter shaft. Trajectory and spin are also influenced by shaft characteristics.

  • Which shaft length is right for me?

The standard length of current shafts is too long for most people and therefore more difficult to play. It is important to find the shaft length that suits you. Generally speaking: the taller you are and the greater the distance from wrist to floor, the more length you can add to the shaft or the less length you can adjust according to a measurement method. The page contains a chart with length adjustments for different club types.

  • Wat is spine align?

Every shaft has a spine, and this part is stiffer than the rest of the shaft. Spine Alignment means locating the spine on the shaft and mounting it in line with the direction of the target. This means you get more precision and length in your shots because the shaft bends or twists less off-line, which increases the chance of hitting the center of the clubface.

  • What grip materials and shapes are available?

There are many different materials and shapes for grips.

Grip material: rubber (most common), cord (with cord material for extra grip, especially in the rain), and rubber/cord hybrid. Grip shape: round (most common) or ribbed (with small edges as a guide for hand placement).
