Club fitting at Golf Etc.

Whether you have a handicap of 36 or play singles, you will play better golf with a set perfectly tailored to your unique swing. Standard clubs are made for an “average” golfer, but such a player does not exist. Swing speed, attack and launch angles, spin, swing plane, and—very importantly—the landing angle vary greatly from player to player. Furthermore, shafts are often not spun, and stiffness within a single set is frequently inconsistent, leading to erratic play.



'Fitting' and 'made to measure' are loaded terms that will be used by anyone who measures and sells clubs, but 99% of these results are delivered directly from the factory or rack. Moreover, it turns out that designations like 'stiff' or 'regular' are far from always accurate. Golf is difficult enough without an unreliable set that doesn't suit your swing.

How does a club fitting work?

Setmeting

First, we measure your current set together with you. Swingweight, spine, stiffness, length, loft, and lie are measured. All this data from the measurement of your own golf set is entered into the BGF system, which is exclusive to Golf Etc. This allows us to quickly see how your current set performs.

Game interview

After that, you will have an extensive interview about your golf game. What are your strengths, and what are your weaknesses? What distances do you hit, and where are there any gaps? How many rounds do you play, and how often do you practice?

BGF analysis

This BGF system (Better Golf Faster) is a computer program and contains more than thousands of different swings and recommendations from top 50 tour players.

Data entry (Trackman interview)

All your data that we obtain from an interview with you and the results measured by our Trackman in the batting cage are entered into the system.

Swingmatch & calculation

The system now matches your data with one of the 20,000 swings and calculates the ideal frequency (shaft stiffness), kickpoint, etc.

Advisory report by price range

This results in a report with recommendations for swingweights, shafts, and clubheads, which can be selected from various price categories. This is generally possible from a larger selection than at most other locations. After the selection, a quotation will follow, and we would like to hear if we may assemble the optimal clubs for you.
